What is the Mission?
To see Youth, from the Grades of 6-12, become all that the Lord has intended: Youth who first and foremost worship God, Youth who witness to others about God, and Youth who can withstand the trials of life, in order for them to become world changers and advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ before he comes and to be found faithful when he comes.
What is the Vision?
Net Youth Ministries was birth from a vision to see today’s youth actively pursuing a relationship with a Holy God that produces a sudden, complete, or marked change in the lives of youth that will in-turn ignite a revolution overthrowing the powers of darkness in favor of a “new thing” that God is doing; ultimately producing a vibrant disciple group of teens that will change their world for Jesus. (Ephesians 6; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Isaiah 43:19)
Methods:
To pray for the youth daily and ask for the directions from God. (Matthew 7:7-8- Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 6:33- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.)
To have regular worship times with the youth, knowing that this is God’s main purpose for humanity. (Psalm 66:4- All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name.)
To prepare lessons fitting for the youth and their struggles in order for discipleship to impact them. (Matthew 28:19-20- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.)
To prepare outreaches and events centered around Jesus, that will enable the chance for the youth to grow in number and in character. (Dream it! Plan it! Build it!) (Acts 1:8- But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.)
Definition of the Five Purposes:
1. Discipleship- Maturing in the faith. The building up or strengthening of believers in their quest to be like Christ. (Hebrews 6:1)
2. Evangelism- Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those who don’t yet have a personal relationship with him. (Acts 1:8)
3. Worship-Celebrating God’s presence and honoring him with our lifestyle. (Romans 12:1)
4. Fellowship-This happens only after conversion. Fellowship is citizenship in the kingdom of God and sharing that citizenship with other believers. (Ephesians 2:19)
5. Ministry-Meeting needs with love. There is no age limitation on ministry.
